At Hope, there are natural burial options for casketed/shrouded burial spaces, and cremation burial spaces. All options include the details listed below:
Natural Burial
Natural burial is an environmentally-friendly way to lay a loved one to rest, using biodegradable caskets, shrouds, or urns. No embalming, no concrete vaults.
Focus on a Peaceful Experience
Hope encourages quiet contemplation when visiting a loved one’s burial space.
All burial spaces are located in The Sacred Forest, which is physically separated from the area where events and activities take place (the Gathering Space).
Forest Planting
The choice of either:
a pre-planted forest or
a new forest, planted by Hope staff and/or with loved ones (while areas are available).
Proximity to a Forest
A location next to a Miyawaki Forest. The forest is initially planted with small saplings that will offer shade and privacy as the forest matures.
Pathway Access
Access to the burial space from a 4 foot wide pathway. There is no need to walk over burial spaces.
In Phase 1, the pathway is mulched, but the Masterplan includes a future hardscaped, ADA compliant path.
Purchase Options
Option to purchase in advance. 0% payment plans are available.
Credit card, cash, or personal check accepted. Credit card merchant fees may apply.
A Photography Mini-Session
Capture memories with a photography mini-session, at least (3) high-resolution photos to share with family and friends.
Choice of posed or candid photos at Hope. During a forest planting with loved ones or with the Hope landscape as a backdrop.
Contribution to the Care and Maintenance Fund
At least 10% of the burial space cost is put into Hope’s Perpetual Care and Maintenance Fund. This fund ensures that Hope will always be cared for.
