Spotlight on Micro-Forests
Earlier this week, Hope Eternal Gardens had the privilege of presenting a lecture on micro-forests at the Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens. Surrounded by lush plantings and inspiring art, we introduced the community to the Miyawaki Method – a proven approach to planting biodiverse native forests that has been used to establish more than 40 million trees worldwide.
Our talk highlighted how this method is shaping the landscape at Hope Eternal Gardens, where micro-forests are being planted as living memorials and ecological restoration projects. Families take part in planting these native trees – creating both personal legacies and vibrant habitats for wildlife.
The afternoon was filled with meaningful conversation, thoughtful questions, and a shared excitement about what micro-forests can bring to Southwest Florida. We are grateful to the Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens for welcoming us, and to everyone who joined us to learn, share, and imagine a greener future together.
At Hope Eternal Gardens, we believe that planting a forest can be both an act of love and a step toward ecological renewal – and moments like this remind us that the vision is growing far beyond our own site.
